Dr. Meehan is a proponent of prevention and believes that patient education is critical. Our practice staff and Dr. Meehan work together to provide patient education about diseases and how to manage their own health outside the doctor’s office. Especially with a disease like diabetes, patient compliance is crucial in preventing serious complications. Through brochures, the practice website, and diabetes classes conducted by his nurse as well as other resources, Dr. Meehan and his staff seek to help patients understand their medications, the importance of compliance and the patient’s responsibility for adhering to prescribed regimens.
